Aging well is a goal that many people have today. And as a recent entrant in life’s 40 and older competition, I am definitely one of those people. I’ve been active and health-conscious for most of my adult life—that is, up until earlier this year when a life-threatening medical emergency changed everything almost overnight. It’s been nearly 9 months since then, and it’s time to reclaim my life. I want to be healthy again, and I want you to join me.

I want to help others who may be in the same position that I am. I know how hopeless it can feel, but there is hope. To kick things off, I scored a 7 on my vigor score for December 1, 2009. It’s a little on the low side because of the holidays. That’s OK, it means I have a lot of work to do . What’s your vigor score?
